The Story Behind
Ruby Care

Ruby Care was inspired by founder Joyce Logan’s personal experience supporting her own family. While living in Texas, Joyce watched from a distance as her mother and stepfather in Ohio faced dementia. Her sister provided much of their hands-on care, giving Joyce a deep understanding of the challenges families face when making care decisions and searching for trusted resources.

Later, after her father-in-law, Jim, passed away, Joyce became closely involved in helping her mother-in-law, Ruby, explore senior living options and move closer to family. Walking alongside Ruby gave Joyce firsthand insight into how emotional, confusing and overwhelming this transition can be.

These experiences led Joyce to establish Ruby Care in 2016. The company was named in honor of Ruby, whose journey remains at the heart of its mission. Ruby Care provides a personalized, boutique approach, taking the time to understand each person’s unique needs, preferences, budget and circumstances.

At Ruby Care, we believe every person is a precious gem—someone deeply loved and deserving of compassionate, personal guidance throughout their senior living journey.

MEET THE RUBY CARE TEAM

Searching for senior living for yourself or someone you love can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re not sure where to begin. The Ruby Care team understands this personally. Our advisors have walked alongside their own parents, spouses, and other family members through aging and care decisions, giving us not only professional experience, but a genuine understanding of what families may be facing.

Together, our team brings more than 175 years of combined experience in senior living and senior care, with professional backgrounds that include senior living communities, hospice, home health, home care, speech therapy, and other areas of senior services. Many of our advisors hold professional designations, including Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® and Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP)®. We take a personal, boutique approach—getting to know each senior’s needs, lifestyle, budget, preferences, and location before helping families explore appropriate senior living options. We can also connect families with trusted local resources for other senior-related needs. Our senior living advisory services are provided at no cost to families.
